Criterion Life Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the CLAPP mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use CLAPP. By using CLAPP, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, gender, and profile photo. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your Google profile information.

Health Information

To provide health features, we may collect health-related data you voluntarily enter, such as medical history, symptoms, medications, fitness activity, and consultation records. This data is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.

Camera & Media

CLAPP requests camera access to allow you to take profile photos, share images in community forums, and participate in video consultations with doctors. We do not store camera data beyond what you explicitly upload.

Location

With your permission, we use your device location to show nearby healthcare providers and pharmacies. Location data is used in real-time and is not persistently stored on our servers without your consent.

Device & Usage Data

We automatically collect device identifiers, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and usage analytics to improve the app experience.

Push Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send appointment reminders, health tips, and community notifications. You can disable these at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: • Provide, maintain, and improve CLAPP's features and services • Facilitate doctor consultations and health tracking • Send appointment reminders and relevant health notifications • Personalise your in-app experience and AI health insights • Ensure the security and integrity of your account • Comply with applicable laws and regulations

3. How We Share Your Information

Healthcare Providers

When you book a consultation, relevant health information is shared with the doctor or specialist you are consulting with.

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party services including Firebase (Google) for authentication, cloud storage, and messaging. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal and health data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@criterionlife.com. Some data may be retained for legal compliance obligations.

6. Your Rights
